The Race 2012

Mission

The Race is focused on helping students keep the pace in their Christian walk through creative programming and great biblical teaching.

Who is it for?

The Race is for rising 7th – rising 10th graders.

What is the Race all about?

The Race is geared to help students have a great camp experience while pointing them to Christ. Campers will participate in great activities like paintball, the high ropes course, crazy field games, high energy worship services and so much more! Also, your child will be able to meet new people and build long, lasting friendships. So for anyone who will join us for the Race, get ready for a week that will blow your mind and change your life forever!

The Race Staff

The staff is at the core of what we do. They are college students and adults who will be with the campers pretty much 24/7 making sure they have the best possible camp experience. The staff will be with your child as they go through all the activities as well as lead them in cabin devotions. The camper to staff ratio is 7:1. Your child will definitely be blessed by the Race staff!

Optional Trips

Week 1

For an extra $45, your child can participate in a paintball field trip to a local paintball field. Cost covers transportation, gun, mask, and paintballs. We will choose a day during camp and leave in the morning and be back that afternoon. Note that a paintball session here at Cedar Grove is already included in the regular price. This trip is extra and equals more paintball if your child desires.

Week 2

Option 2: Cedar Grove Summer Camp has teamed up with Capstone Climbing and Adventure to provide a half day of rock climbing at one of our local State Parks.  This is a great way for beginners to experience real rock climbing!  Campers will leave on a specified morning and return early in the afternoon.  Please note that this is an extra activity outside of our regular program.  The extra cost for this climbing adventure is $60.  For more information about Capstone Climbing and Adventure and the rock climbing trip, please visit their website at www.capstoneclimbing.com.

T-shirt: Each camper will receive a camp t-shirt during the week of camp. Please provide your camper’s shirt size during registration.
