The Journey 2012

What is the Journey?

The Journey is our leadership program designed to transition campers into counselors. The purpose of the Journey is to help students grow in their relationship with Christ as well as in their servant leadership.  Throughout the three weeks of camp, these students will be fully engaged in helping run the camp program and challenged to grow spiritually and in servant leadership.

Who is it for?

The Journey is for rising 11th – rising 12th graders who are passionate about sharing their love for Christ with kids and serving the Lord through camp ministry.  The Journey is limited to 10 girls and 10 boys.

What will we be doing?

Some of the duties include working in the kitchen, waterfront, coordinate field games, running the camp store, helping with activities such as paintball and ropes course, assisting counselors with campers, and so much more.

What is the cost?

$250.00 for the three-week program.

When is the Journey?

Journey participants are to arrive on July 1, 2012.  The first week of camp will run from Sunday, July 1st through Friday, July 6th.  Then everyone is to report back to camp on Sunday, July 8th through Friday, July 13th.  The last week of camp will run from Monday, July 16th through Friday, July 20th.

What are the requirements?

You must fill out the online registration form and application. In the application, references must be given including one from the pastor of the church you are attending.  Cedar Grove Summer Camp staff will review the applications and acceptance confirmation will be sent out upon approval.  Having come to camp previously as a camper is not a requirement.

Payment

You will not need to pay anything until you have been approved for the Journey. Upon approval, you can login to your account and pay the $100 deposit. The camper’s full balance is due by June 15, 2012.
