The Journey 2012

Mission

The Journey is designed to help our older campers deepen their faith and prepare them for their journey with Christ.

Who is it for?

The Journey is for rising 11th – rising 12th graders.

What is the Journey all about?

The Journey is geared to help students have a great camp experience while pointing them to Christ. Campers will participate in great activities like paintball, the high ropes course, crazy field games, high energy worship services and so much more. In addition, just the Journey campers will get to spend the day at the National White Water Center in Charlotte. Also, your child will be able to meet new people and build long, lasting friendships. So for anyone who will join us for the Journey, get ready for a week that will blow your mind and change your life forever!

Additional week

An option open only to our Journey campers will be the opportunity to come back the following week to help out with the Quest, our kids camp. They will assist with game set up and some other behind the scenes duties to help camp run smoothly. They will also be spending time with the Quest campers and setting a Christ-like example for them.  So it will be a fun week of service and a special opportunity to encourage younger campers. Their is no additional cost for this week. Journey campers will be able to come back for the Quest upon the discretion of the camp director.

What is the cost?

$349.00 for the week of camp and there is no additional cost if the camper comes back to help with the kids camp.

When is the Journey?

Drop off for the Journey will be Sunday, July 8th, 2012 between 4-6pm.  Pick up will be on Friday, July 13th, 2012 at 11am.  If the camper is coming back to help with the Quest, then they will need to report back to camp Sunday, July 15th, 2012 at 5pm.  Pick up will be Friday, July 20th, 2012 at 3pm.

The Journey Staff

The staff is at the core of what we do. They are college students and adults who will be with the campers pretty much 24/7 making sure they have the best possible camp experience. The staff will be with your child as they go through all the activities as well as lead them in cabin devotions. The camper to staff ratio is 7:1. Your child will definitely be blessed by the Journey staff!
