Q:  Will I be able to call my child while they are at camp?

A:  Your child will not have access to a phone while at camp.  If there is an emergency, and you need to get in touch with your child, please call the office and talk to a staff member about your situation.

Q:  Can my child take his/her cellphone to camp?

A:  We do not allow campers to bring cellphones to camp.  The main reason being is that we do not want the campers to be distracted.  Our desire is for them to be fully engaged in everything that’s going on at camp and for them to grow closer to God and to make new friends.

Q:  Can I send mail to my child?

A:  Sending mail is a great idea.  Be sure to send your mail early in the week to be sure your child will receive it before camp is over.  You can also send emails to your camper throughout the week.  You can send your message to campinfo@cedargrovesummer.com and we will print and pass those messages out during lunch each day.  Be sure to put your child’s name in the subject box.

Q:  How much money do I need to send with my camper for concessions?

A:  We have candy, snacks, and drinks that range from $0.25 to $1.50.  So for our overnight camps, we suggest $15-$20 for the week.  For our day campers, we suggest $2-$4 per day.

Q:  Will my child have to keep up with his/her money while at camp?

A:  No they will not.  When you register online, there is a place for you to go ahead and put money into your child’s account for concessions.  We will keep up with the total throughout the week.  If you choose to send cash instead, you can hand that in at registration and we will put it towards your child’s account.

Q:  Is there going to be a camp nurse on the grounds during the week?

A:  Yes, we will have someone here throughout the week to take care of medical needs.  The camp nurse will also be in charge of handing out medications.  If your child has medicine they need to take while at camp, please hand all medicine in at registration in the original container along with dosage and times of day they take the medicine.

Q:  If my child has a friend they would like to have in their cabin, is that possible to arrange?

A:  We do our best to accommodate lodging requests.  Please make note of the person your child would like in their cabin while you are registering online.

Q:  Do the cabins have air conditioning?

A:  Yes, all of our cabins have air conditioning. click here to see some pictures of our cabins and facilities.
