Adventure Retreat Packages

All packages listed below are $135 per person.  Included in this price are 2 nights lodging, 5 meals, a campfire and s’mores, and the adventure of your choosing.  Also, if you choose to come between May and September, the water park on our lake will be available to your group as well.  

Package #1 – Rock Climbing

This is a year-round option led by Capstone’s trained facilitators, which will challenge and motivate the most adventurous group.  The preferred site they like to use is Pilot Mountain, but Crowder’s Mountain and Stone Mountain are also possible climbing sites.  Capstone will provide all the equipment needed for climbing including harnesses, helmets, climbing shoes and all the necessary ropes and climbing gear.  The facilitators will give safety instruction and technique tips before climbing begins.  All available climbing sites are within 1.5 hours of Cedar Grove.  After ropes are set up and instruction given, the climbing session will last 3-4 hours.

Package #2 – Paddling

This option is led by Capstone facilitators and is available from early May through the end of September.  Paddling is a great way to spend time as a group and gives everyone a chance to explore remote areas and wildlife up close.  Possible paddling sites are the Abbots River, Yadkin River, Falls Reservoir, Catawba River, and the South Fork River.  Capstone will consider weather, water levels and distance desired to travel when choosing paddling sites.  We will put you in contact with Capstone to choose the best option for your group.  Capstone will provide canoes, kayaks, and all the necessary equipment and training.

Package #3 – Boss Paintball Trip

This is a year-round option led by Boss Paintball.  Their paintball facility is one of the best in our area and is sure to be exciting for seasoned paintballers and first-timers.  Boss Paintball will provide all the necessary equipment including paintball guns, masks and 1000 paintballs for each participant.  The trip to the paintball fields is about a 30 minute drive and the paintball session lasts about 4-5 hours.

Package #4 – Extreme High Ropes Adventure

This is a great option for those groups looking to spend the day up in the trees.  Our high ropes adventure will take you from our high ropes course here at Cedar Grove to the high ropes course at the Capstone facility in Concord, NC.  Groups will be able to experience the rigors and challenges of both high ropes courses as well as work on team building skills on the low ropes course at the Capstone facility.  The high ropes session here would last about 3 hours and the high and low ropes session at Capstone would collectively last 3 to 4 hours.  Capstone’s facility is about a 20 minute drive from Cedar Grove.

Package #5 – Paintball and High Ropes Adventure

All of the activities included in this option will take place at Cedar Grove.  Your group will be able to enjoy a 3 hour session of paintball, a 3 hour session of High Ropes and a 2 hour session of low ropes and team building activities.  This is a great option for those groups who want to stay close and experience everything Cedar Grove has to offer.
